Grand Re-Opening

I hope everyone's excited to see the new Tetra-Colored! Well, the few people who come visit =P Anyways, I just want to run down for the sake of it some of the decisions I've made.

There are no designs from Inori or anything that's ever been made by me as a pre-made before. A lot of this was because of the theme of the website, and the fact that I wanted to sort of restart my reputation as a designer (if that's possible). This is probably understandable for most people. But one of the biggest reasons or excuses is that I finally figured out about a year ago why my designs looked different on other computers (less saturated, lighter). It's probably mostly because I use a mac. All of my older layouts look different than I expected when other people view them, and that really ticks me. Anyways, Photoshop has a setting to view how it will look on proof colors, which is what they're called apparently. When I was making TC's first layout, I had a lot of difficultly because I forgot to turn proof colors on when I started it and had to play around a lot with the hue/saturation. All of the images on this site should look the way I intended them to on your computer. A lot of them are saved as PNGs because of this... maybe I'll see if I can get them saved as jpgs.

For over a year I was on a designers block. It was mostly because I didn't have any images to work with. I wan't into anime or manga like before, so I didn't know what to make layouts out of. Miraculously, I started designing well with just one image instead of blending more than one together (what I relied on before), and figured out how to do cool effects without using other people's resources. So yes, everything was done by me except for some brushes that are credited. It takes me a LOT longer to make layouts now, but it's worth it I guess. Just don't expect me to be spitting out new layouts every month, but I'll try the best I can.

This particular layout was hard to do. I can show you what it started out as, and you'd be like "EW!!" because my layouts tend to look hideous (I'm serious) until they're done and I get the colors right. I usually keep making layers of things until I think it's enough, then fix the colors, then go back and erase out things from like 40 layers until I like it. -_- Hard process. And of course this layout started off more on the warm side, then become blue!

If you follow my designing you'll hopefully recognize one of the pre-mades. It was a layout for my music site, and I decided to make it into a pre-made. The other one is new, and I put up a screenshot of it if you remember on my last entry.

I decided to keep some of the portfolio stuff, but now it's all on one page. There are only 3 layouts there right now... might add more later, but now sure how far I want the portfolio to extend =P

Also, about affiliation! Unfortunately, Anna's site seems closed because the link doesn't work anymore. It's been like this for a while and I haven't been in touch with her. Also, Kristine's site Vice hasn't opened yet at this point and I think it was on hiatus for about a year! I'd love to re-affiliate if she reopens. So affiliation is open. I don't know much to say about it, except that I don't want to be dropping affiliates in the future (I've been dropped before and it makes me sadder than if I were rejected) so I might be sort of picky.
